KEN ORR is a
Principal Researcher with The Ken Orr Institute,
a business technology research organization.
Previously, he was an Affiliate
Professor and Director of the Center for the Innovative Application of Technology
with the School of Technology and Information Management at Washington University
(St. Louis).
During his career, Mr. Orr has been a Programmer, Systems Designer,
Systems Manager, CIO and Senior Consultant. Mr. Orr is an internationally recognized
expert on technology transfer, software engineering, information architecture,
data warehousing, and the Year 2000.
Mr. Orr has more that 30 years experience
in the analysis, design, project management, technology planning and management
consulting: and his consulting customers have included IBM, DEC, Novell, Pacific
Bell, Olivetti, and the States of California, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri,
Oregon and Washington.
Mr. Orr is the author of The
One Minute Methodology and two other books, and has published dozens of
articles on advanced software development, technology management, data quality,
and human communication.
Mr. Orr is a frequent speaker at conferences around
the world. In the last few years, he has been a keynote speaker at major conferences
in the Australia, Brazil, Canada Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy,
Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Uruguay, and the United States.
Currently, Mr.
